Dr. Neil Zwiebel is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Queens. Dr. Zwiebel obtained his bachelor of science in human development from Cornell University. After two years in molecular biology cancer research, he went on to receive his doctorate in podiatric medicine and surgery from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. In 2002, he completed a two year podiatric surgical residency program at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center in Secaucus, New Jersey. His surgical training included elective foot and ankle surgery, foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, and trauma of the foot and ankle. Dr. Zwiebel also worked closely with the departments of rehabilitiation medicine, radiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics and vascular surgery, assisting in general orthopedic surgery and vascular surgery procedures. As well as reading MRI, CT scans, radiographs and bone scan studies.
Dr. Zwiebel has clinical and surgical experience with a variety of lasers, including the pulse dye laser for plantar wart (verucca) treatment. Most recently Dr. Zwiebel has become certified in the use of Cool Touch's Cool Breeze Varia laser for the treatment of the nail fungus. In the past 2 years Dr. Zwiebel has gained valuable experience in the use of the Patholase Pinointe laser in the treatment of nail fungus.
Dr. Zwiebel takes a small town doctor approach to his patients in the big city. He values his patient's time and expects appointments to be seen on time and will lay out an appropriate treatment plan based upon each individuals needs and conditions.
